Natural river hot spring popular on instagram! Be careful when visiting as this is a hotspot for thieves.

Further information: Kerosene Creek is an exciting destination for outdoor enthusiasts in the Rotorua area. Located thirty-five minutes south of Rotorua, this naturally heated geothermal stream allows visitors to relax and take a natural bath in its warm waters. Kerosene Creek is home to lush native bush and a 2m waterfall, which provides the perfect backdrop for a day out. People will also find a few hot pools that have been created by piling small smoothed rocks around the sides of the creek - perfect for soaking in its relaxing waters. No fees are required to visit, though being respectful towards other bathers goes a long way and any rubbish should be taken away. It's the perfect place to come to escape and unwind in nature.
