Sandfly Bay Track in Otago, New Zealand is a great walking and tramping destination with breathtaking views of the coastline and wild ocean. The walk takes roughly fifteen minutes from the car park all the way down to the beach, and offers beautiful vistas of Sandfly Bay while passing through farmland. With orange marker poles and signs, visitors can enjoy a good level of fitness on this track across private lands, although caution should be exercised with parts of the sandhill that have been deteriorating due to erosion. This track also makes a great opportunity for wildlife watching, as it is home to New Zealand fur seals, New Zealand sea lions, spotted shags, sooty shearwaters and variable oystercatchers. With its stunning beauty and wildlife, Sandfly Bay Track is not one to miss out on!
