Visitors can enjoy a Day Tour any time from 10:00am until 6:00pm, which allows them to explore the colony and witness the majestic penguins in their natural habitat. For an even more thrilling experience, visitors can also join the Evening Viewing for a closer view of the Penguins. Along with the tours, the Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony pride themselves on carrying out long-term conservation and research programmes to ensure the safety and well being of these beautiful birds. The colony also offers a Live Nest Camera feed where people can watch the penguins, seals and other wildlife interact in real time.
