Tāwharanui Marine Reserve, located in the Auckland region, is a family-friendly spot with beautiful beaches, great swimming, and rockpooling opportunities. Established as a marine reserve in 2011, it covers 394 hectares and boasts unique geological features like greywacke rocks with Jurassic fossils. With diverse marine life, including around 50 fish species and lobsters, the reserve is a haven for nature lovers.
