Nestled right on Movikvegen, right by the main road, this abandoned wooden cabin is a hidden gem for photography enthusiasts. With the fjords and mountains as a dramatic backdrop, it feels like a scene straight out of a Nordic postcard. The rustic, weathered wood of the cabin adds texture and contrast to the vibrant natural scenery, making it perfect for sunrise, sunset, or Northern Lights photography.

Since the area is mostly residential and quiet, most passersby either live on this side of Tromsø or are likely heading to a reindeer farm visit, so you’ll likely have the entire scene to yourself—perfect for photos without interruptions.

💡 Tip: There’s a small car park just across the road, so you can park easily and cross over to take photos in peace. Visit early in the morning, late afternoon, or at night for Northern Lights. Always be respectful of private property and the natural surroundings.

📸 Bonus: Ideal for wide landscape shots, drone photography, or moody artistic photos—the cabin’s isolation and the reflective water make every frame striking.

📍 Location: Movikvegen, Tromsø, right on the main Tonsvikvegen road, next to the small red cabin by the water.
