The Icefields Parkway is considered one of the most scenic stretches of highway in the world, and wow, it does not disappoint!
This area encompasses the stretch of highway connecting the town of Lake Louise to Jasper. It's about a 3 hour drive to do this entire stretch (6 hours roundtrip) plus additional travel time from the town of Banff.
My favorite stops along the way include Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, The Crowfoot Glacier, Waterfowl Lakes and Athabasca Glacier, but there are plenty of other roadside pullouts along the way where you can enjoy incredible views.
Unless you're planning to spend time in Jasper, I would recommend driving it to Athabasca Glacier and using that as your turnaround point.
