Peyto Lake is fed by the Peyto Glacier, giving it its vibrant blue color. Named after an early guide in the park, Bill Peyto, this picturesque lake sits at an elevation of 1880 meters and offers breathtaking views from the Peyto Lake Lookout.

To walk from the parking lot to the main viewpoint, roundtrip, you're looking at about 1 mile. But these views are insanely worth it! You can walk below the main viewing platform for a slightly different vantage point. My favorite view along the Icefields Parkway.
