This historic cafe is worth the walk through Rome’s lovely Prati neighbourhood. Sciascia Caffè (pronounced: Sha-Sha) opened in 1919 and has been at its current location on Via Fabio Massimo since 1937.

It’s a charming spot with dark wood, dangling green pendant lamps, monogrammed cups, and outdoor seating.

The cafe’s founder, Dr. Adolfo Sciascia, spent decades perfecting its custom coffee blend, which remains a secret! And the coffee here is fantastic! I especially loved their “Caffè Sciascia,” espresso with dark chocolate.

HOURS: Monday to Saturday, 7 am - 9 pm. Sunday 7:30 am - 9 pm.

LOCATION: Via Fabio Massimo n.80/a, Prati, Rome
