Route & Access
Start at the trailhead on Duffey Lake Road, about 30 km north of Pemberton. A rough forestry access road leads to the parking lot—expect crowds, especially on weekends.
Overnight & Amenities
Campsites located around Middle Lake; no formal platforms but leveled tent sites and pit toilets.
Firewood is not permitted—pack in all fuel and essentials.
Permits required for overnight stays and day hiking; day hikers need no reservations on non-peak weekends, but parking can fill early.

Highlights & Photo Spots
Lower Lake bridge & viewpoint — first magical vista where the three-tiered lakes are visible in succession.
Middle Lake campsite area — turquoise water flanked by hanging glacier walls makes for a dramatic camping and photo setting.
Iconic Log Shot - at middle lake! Take turns walking the log - careful not to fall in the glacier water is freezing and potentially life threatening depending on the season
Upper Lake basin — peaceful, remote, and close to the glacier remnants.
Seasonal Tips
Best time: Late June to early September when trails are snow-free and lakes are visible.
Microspikes or trail runners with traction are useful in shoulder seasons—the moraine scrambling zone can remain icy or loose.
Bring bear spray wildlife is present in forested sections.
