🐻Warning: This is a known grizzly area, so please read reviews, bring bear spray, hike in a large group and be loud!
To get there, start at the Diamond Head Trailhead near the Taylor Meadows area off the Cheakamus Lake Forest Road. Expect steep switchbacks through sub-alpine forest before the trail opens into alpine meadows and then the final ridge approach to the lake. The last section includes some rocky scramble and boulder-hopping—hiking poles are recommended for stability, especially when crossing meltwater streams.
