Saana Fell in Kilpisjärvi, Northern Finland is a popular tourist destination and hiking spot for locals and tourists, known for its distinctive shape and stunning views. The mountain or fell (Tunturi in Finnish) is sacred to the Sami people, with a story of love and betrayal behind its creation. The hike up Saana is a great day hike and offers a bit of a challenge, but definitely rewarding, offering hikers a chance to experience the most beautiful landscapes of Lapland. Don't forget sturdy shoes and warm clothes – even in summer, the temperatures can be chilly at the top or even down at the village!

Stay in Kilpisjärvi village at one of the many hotels and cabins and explore the beautiful region.
