The Järämä Fortification Area is a fascinating historical site in Lapland, Finland, showcasing restored dugouts and trenches from the Lapland War.

With also a museum and café on site, visitors can learn about the war's complexities and explore the remnants of the German defenses. The museum is dedicated to the Lapland War in Fell Lapland. The area offers a glimpse into the wartime past and the strategic military efforts that took place in this remote region.

This trail around the trenches takes about 30min to walk and is a nice way to stretch your legs in between drives.

Tickets cost: 7€ for adults and 4€ for kids.
