Annie Lake is a picturesque spot along the Annie Lake Road off the South Klondike Highway, known for its stunning turquoise waters that make it one of the most photographed places in the area. It's a must-see stop for anyone exploring the Southern Lakes loop itinerary!

Eryn's Tips:

  • This is my go-to spot for photographing the northern lights! There is a small (unplowed) road that leads directly to the lake. You drive along Annie Lake Road until you see an old cabin. There will be a road to the left, follow that, and it will take you to the lake! You need to be able to turn around and watch out for the snow! If you have a smaller vehicle, walking in may be the best option. They do not plough this road in the winter, so depending on snow levels, you may have to walk in anyway!

  • In the summer, there are many hikes and stunning views for photography! You can also head out and paddle or swim in the lake!
