Drive to here and continue the quirky theme at the Samúel Jónsson outdoor art museum. Samúel was a farmer with artist dreams, who didn't quite get the support he wished for his artistic endeavours, so he made wonderful statues on his fields in his remote valley. He once painted an altarpiece too. When the local church rejected it, Samúel built his own church to display it. This place gained international fame when Icelandic band Sigur Rós recorded a scene there for their movie Heima.
