Columbine Lake is a gorgeous alpine lake located in the San Juan Mountains. The standard TH is a B*TCH of a hike with switchbacks leading to the lower basin, but you may also access via Ophir Road, Porphyry Basin, Oscar Pass, or a much longer hike from Telluride and up and over Lewis Mine. Ophir is my favorite access where you start near Ophir Hut. Oscar Pass is gorgeous, but its a SLOG.
