This is hands down one of my favourite waterfalls in all of New Zealand. It’s so stunning and ridiculously easy to get to, literally right off the side of the Haast Highway. The walk is only about 100 metres and takes less than 2 minutes.
The waterfall itself is massive, standing at 96 metres tall, and it crashes down into this bright blue pool surrounded by lush native bush. You can check it out from the viewing platform or carefully make your way down to the river rocks to see it up close. You’ll even spot the top of the falls from the road as you drive by. If you’re heading along this stretch of highway, this one’s a must-stop.
