Snowbird Pass is an amazing and challenging 14.3-mile out-and-back trail near Valemount, British Columbia that takes the average person 8 h 34 min to complete. Hikers on the Snowbird Pass trail will come across various terrains such as meadows, rivers, glaciers, and rocky switchback trails. The views are breathtaking and wildlife encounters such as marmots and goats are common sights. Though best viewed during August to April, the atmosphere can be unpredictable with unexpected sleet, snow, and rain being common occurrences. The summit at Snowbird Pass reveals a stunning view of the Coleman Glacier and Reef IceField, making this hike one of the most incredible in the Canadian Rockies.
