This National Park was our highlight in Shark Bay!

However, not available for 2wds it is a bit off the beaten track.

Go here if you’ve got a 4WD, the contrast between the red sand and turquoise water is next level.

You’ll be driving through some deep sand, but the coastal views and remote campsites make it well worth the effort.

Why it's worth checking out:

  • Skipjack Point, top spot for spotting rays, sharks, and turtles

  • Big Lagoon, calm water and a good paddle or swim stop

  • Remote beaches and headlands to explore

  • Killer drone views if you're into that

Know before going:

  • Let your tyres down at the ranger station (there’s an air compressor there too)

  • Campsites are basic (no power), but right near the beach

  • Entry and camping fees apply, book online ahead of time if possible
