It’s a famous spot on Instagram, but the reality doesn’t always match the hype!

We've been a few times and sometimes it’s crystal clear and calm, while others it’s full of seaweed and packed with people.

We've had it for ourselves a few times, so if you want to go and avoid the crowds, check out this guide!

Why it's worth checking out:

  • Beautiful natural rock pool right by the ocean

  • Fun to sit in when the swell pushes water through the rocks

  • Close to other good spots like The Aquarium and Canal Rocks

Know before going:

  • 50/50 chance it’s either stunning or covered in seaweed

  • Super popular, go there early or expect big crowds during holidays

  • Slippery rocks, take care climbing in

  • No facilities, bring everything you need
