Coral Bay is absolutely stunning!
You can either pass through here for 2 days on your trip up to Exmouth or you can take a day trip here from Exmouth.
It is a much smaller town but there is some fun 4wding and more remote camps you can visit while here.
If you're in a 2WD it may be best as a full-day trip from Exmouth (about 1.5 hrs each way) since accommodation can be pricey and it's super limited because of the town size.
Coral Bay is known for being a little bit "touristy" but it still has a beautiful small town charm about it.
Don't miss sunset at the lookout at the end of Coral Bay Road. Also the boat ramp beach is particularly blue and beautiful worth having a swim there. There's also a little reef shark nursery beach where you can look at hundreds of baby sharks in the shallows near the town in Coral Bay.
If you're in a 4WD, there are a few epic spots off the beaten path worth checking out like Oyster Bridge and Five Fingers Reef. We were really amazed by the quality of the snorkelling out there.
Consider camping in the area for more time exploring.
Things to do in Coral Bay:
Snorkel right off the beach in town
Sunset on the dunes
Five Fingers Reef
Oyster Bridge
BEST spot to swim with manta rays! Do a manta tour here or see the shark teeth cleaning station
Walk around to the shark nursery and spot baby reef sharks in the shallows
Short glass-bottom boat tours if you’d rather stay dry
