Whenever we're in Perth, this is where we go when we want to disconnect in nature without doing a whole road trip!

Perth Hills is an area with a few national parks (Jhon Forrest NP, Avon Valley, Lane Poole Reserve), each one with heaps of hikes, campsites, and waterfalls.

And it's a beautiful place to go to in spring, as wildflowers blossom pretty much everywhere!

Know before going:

  • Kalamunda has a famous weekend market and a couple solid cafés

  • Way less crowded than anything in the city

  • It’s cooler up here, especially in the mornings

  • The National Parks have an entry fee and most are no-dog zones

  • You’ll need a car to get around easily
