This is one of the BEST surf breaks in Australia!

It’s got a solid reef break that draws surfers from all over. But the waves here can get pretty heavy, especially in winter. Definitely more suited for experienced surfers.

You can't hire a surfboard on the island, but you can bring your board on the ferry for an extra fee and transport it by bike.

Know before going:

• No lifeguards on duty, so surf with a buddy

• Conditions vary a lot, so check the forecast before paddling out

• About 30–40 min bike ride from the settlement
