It’s a calm dam with a sandy beach area, surrounded by forest, perfect for swimming or a picnic.

Things to do there:

• Walk the 4km paved loop trail that goes right around the dam.

• Kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.

• Fishing trout.

• There are heaps of grassy areas with picnic tables and free gas barbeques.

• The paved trail is nice and flat, making it suitable for prams and wheelchairs.

• Entry is free.

• Public toilets are available on site.

• Dogs allowed (on a leash).
