Broome Historical Museum is a compact, local museum that gives you a focused look at the pearling industry, Chinatown, Yawuru heritage and wartime stories; allow about 30–45 minutes to see the main displays, so treat it as a short stop you can pair with a walk through Chinatown, the Pearl Luggers and the Japanese cemetery.

Expect intimate, archival displays and a modest entry fee rather than flashy interactive galleries, so check current opening hours and payment options on the museum website or with the Broome Visitor Centre before you go, and bring sun protection and a little cash in case card facilities are limited.
