Monkey Mia is famous for the dolphins, they come right up to the shore every morning for feeding.

To be honest we're not particularly fond of that because it felt a bit like a petting zoo, but kids absolutely love this so it's worth stopping by if you have little ones!

And if you have a 4WD, definitely consider heading to Francoise Peron National Park. Locals told us there are some solid beaches there and fun 4WD tracks.

Know before going:

  • Entry fees to the National Park

  • Feeding sessions are in the morning, so get there early

  • There are a few campsites in the area if you're keen

  • Can get crowded, especially during school holidays
