The Basin is one of the most ICONIC and popular beaches on the island and it’s just a short bike ride from the main settlement.

The water is clear, calm, and shallow, so it's a great spot for families with small kids! It's also a good snorkelling spot.

Know before going:

• Gets busy, especially on weekends, go early if you want a good spot

• No shade on the beach, bring your own if you’re hanging around for a while

• BYO snorkel gear or rent from the settlement shops

• Rotto is not dog-friendly
