Voted "World's Best Beach" in 2023.
Lucky Bay is famous for squeaky white sand that you can drive onto (many people do with a 2wd)... and kangaroos live here!
While it's beautiful, you should know it is often covered in seaweed, the kangaroos are rare to see and it can get busy here!
We still reckon it’s worth checking out it is ICONIC and stunning, but manage your expectations. Wharton, Twilight, and even Hellfire are often a more enjoyable beach to visit (and quieter).
Things to do there:
Spot kangaroos on the beach (dawn and dusk are best)
Have a cook up with friends
Swimming, fishing etc
Camp right on the beach at the national park site! (Book way in advance)
Launch kayaks or paddleboards on calm days
Know before going:
Book camping at least 3 months in advance, it fills up fast
National park entry + camping fees apply
Toilets, showers, BBQs and bins available
Sand can be soft, drive carefully if heading onto the beach
Seaweed sometimes washes up and hangs around
