Voted "World's Best Beach" in 2023, this place is famous for its white sand, clear water... and resident kangaroos!
But honestly, we don't think it's the best (or prettiest) beach in the area, it's usually covered in seaweed. It also gets VERY busy.
We still reckon it’s worth checking out for the kangaroos, but manage your expectations. Wharton, Twilight, and even Hellfire are often more enjoyable (and way quieter).
Things to do there:
Spot kangaroos on the beach (dawn and dusk are best)
Swim and relax on the sand
Camp right on the beach at the national park site
Launch kayaks or paddleboards on calm days
Know before going:
Book camping at least 3 months in advance, it fills up fast
National park entry + camping fees apply
Toilets, showers, BBQs and bins available
Sand can be soft, drive carefully if heading onto the beach
Seaweed sometimes washes up and hangs around
