Yardie Creek is the only gorge with permanent water in the area. It's a beautiful place with a few hikes nearby and a small population of rock wallabies!

You can also do a boat tour through the creek. We did it and it was a bit expensive, but honeslty it's the best way to see the wallabies, plus it's a nice way to spend a few hours doing something different.

It's also a popular spot for fishing and kayaking if you're keen!

Know before going:

  • 2WD-friendly

  • Entry fee to Cape Range NP required

  • Tours often book out, check availability online before going

  • Toilets and picnic tables on-site, plus a basic campground
