This 20-m high lighthouse was built in 1904 and still guides ships today!

Why it's worth checking out

  • Go in with a tower tour, so you can enjoy the 360° ocean views and learn more about the place.

  • Whale-watching from the headland (June–October)

  • Walk to Sugarloaf Rock from there, especially in wildflower season (here's the route)

Know before going

  • 2WD-friendly sealed roads, small car park

  • Toilets and picnic tables but no café, bring snacks and water

  • Wind picks up in arvo, mornings are calmer

  • Mobile reception can be patchy, so download maps beforehand
