Beach

Important: Watch for the dangerous current out a bit deeper at this beach.

Despite the current this is one of the better swimming beaches in WA.

It's a protected bay with granite boulders, so the water is usually calm and perfect for a dip.

Things to do there:

  • Swim in calm, sheltered water

  • Snorkel around the rocks, heaps of fish when visibility’s good

  • Climb the surrounding boulders

  • Walk over to Elephant Rocks (easy 5–10 min track)

Know before going:

  • Free entry for William Bay NP

  • About 15 mins from Denmark, sealed road all the way

  • Toilets and change rooms at the car park

  • Gets busy in summer

  • No shade on the beach, bring your own cover

  • No pets allowed
