The Giant Tingle Tree is one of the tallest in the region, standing at 75 metres tall, and the base is so wide and hollowed out, you can actually walk inside it!

It’s part of a short, easy loop through the red tingle forest, and the whole area is gorgeous.

About the walk:

  • 800m return loop on a sealed path

  • Takes 15–30 mins depending on how much you stop

  • Flat and easy, suitable for all ages

Know before going:

  • It's in Walpole-Nornalup NP (entry is free)

  • 10 mins from Walpole town centre, on a good sealed road

  • No pets allowed

  • Epic lookout nearby with views over the valley and river

  • Early morning is especially nice, cool, shady, and usually no one around.

  • There’s a picnic area nearby if you want to bring lunch
