Beach

This is the go-to spot for locals, as there are heaps of things to do. Know that it’s where the Wilson Inlet meets the sea, so conditions can change a lot depending on tides and wind.

Things to do there:

  • Surfing, good for beginners when the waves are mellow

  • Kitesurfing on windy days

  • Fish off the beach or near the inlet mouth

  • Swim between the flags in summer (patrolled)

  • Go for a beach walk

  • Head up to Ocean Beach Lookout for a top-down view

Know before going:

  • About 10 mins drive from Denmark

  • Toilets, showers, and plenty of parking available

  • Popular with locals, but rarely feels crowded

  • Not dog-friendly on the patrolled beach area
