This is a working cattle station with some lovely scenery, it was one of our favourite stays in the Gibb!

You can camp or stay in one of the station’s rooms, and it’s a great base for exploring some of the lesser-known gorges and waterfalls nearby.

Know before going:

• Long way from anywhere

• Home-style meals available for guests

• No phone reception or Wi-Fi, so download maps etc in advance

• Not cheap, but fair for the location and experience

• Book ahead during peak dry season (it’s a small operation)
