Exmouth is the main gateway to Ningaloo Reef, with world-class snorkelling, famous beaches like Turquoise Bay, and the chance to swim with whale sharks if you’re there in season (Mar-August)-
It’s worth at least 4–5 days, minimum. We spent two months there and, honestly, we could’ve stayed longer.
There are heaps of things to do:
Snorkel straight off the beach in places like Turquoise Bay, Lakeside Beach, and Oyster Stacks
Swim with whale sharks, manta rays and humpback whales
See the turtles nesting and hatching (Nov-Feb)
Visit the Mildura Wreck, Vlamingh Head Lighthouse
4WD driving in Cape Range National Park
