Parakeet Bay is our favourite beach on the island! A bit more low-key than The Basin but just as beautiful.

The water here is ridiculously clear, super calm, and perfect for swimming or snorkelling. Plus, you might see stingrays cruising by!

Know before going:

• A short bike ride from the settlement (easy ride)

• Shops or cafes in the settlement, so bring water, snacks, and your snorkel gear

• There's not much shade, so come prepared

• Rotto is not dog-friendly

Transportation: Rotto is a car-free zone, you can move around by bike or the local bus. Some ferry providers include transportation to and from Rotto + rental bikes for an extra fee. Here's one of the best ones! Includes bikes and departs from Hillary's Boat Harbour!
