El Questro is a huge wilderness park about 1.5 hours from Kununurra and it's a destination in itself.

It's home to attractions like Emma Gorge, Chamberlain Gorge, Zebedee Springs, and several walking trails to explore!

You can also stay there, they have a mix of campgrounds, cabins, and fancy eco tents.

It's a must-visit when doing the Gibb. We recommend spending 2-3 days here as there's so much to do, plus it's the last place to have some creature comforts before tackling the Gibb River Road!

Why it's worth checking out:

  • Choice of camping, glamping, or luxury stays

  • Access to stunning spots like Emma Gorge and Zebedee Springs

  • Decent facilities even for the unpowered camp area

  • Onsite bar and restaurant at the main station

  • Guided tours and scenic flights available if you're keen

Know before going:

  • 4WD strongly recommended, there's a stretch of corrugated dirt road from the highway to the station

  • No phone reception once you're in

  • Closes during the wet season (Nov-March

  • Fuel available but it’s expensive

  • Groceries are limited, so bring food in from Kununurra

Check out availability and rates here.
