This museum dives deep into Albany’s role in WWI, with personal stories, interactive displays, and a seriously powerful atmosphere.

Even if you’re not a history buff, it’s worth visiting just for how well it’s done, plus the view over King George Sound is unreal.

Things to do there:

  • Learn about the convoys that left Albany for WWI

  • Explore the museum’s interactive exhibits and personal stories

  • Walk the heritage trails outside (lots of old military sites)

  • Visit the lookout over the Sound, amazing spot for photos

Good to know:

  • Open daily, 9am–5pm

  • Located in the Albany Heritage Park, 5 mins from town

  • Café and toilets on site

  • Allow 1–2 hours, or more if you're into history

  • Best to visit on a clear day for the full view

  • Purchase tickets here
