Campsite

James Price Point is about 60km north of Broome and feels properly remote. The bright red cliffs against turquoise water are reason enough to go.

It’s free to camp and usually pretty quiet, especially outside school holidays. If you’ve got a 4WD, this one is a must! Just know that the red dust will be everywhere, but it will be worth it.

Why it's worth checking out:

  • Epic sunsets over the ocean

  • Whale watching in season (June–September)

  • Good spot for beach fishing

  • Great spot to just chill off-grid for a few days

Know before going:

  • 4WD only

  • No facilities, you have to be fully self-sufficient

  • No phone signal

  • Gets very windy at night, peg everything down

  • It’s a culturally significant area, respect it and keep it clean
