Broome is hot, dusty and a little rough around the edges, which is why we love it!
You’ve got Cable Beach for swims, crocodiles, rodeos, camel-riding sunsets, red cliffs out at James Price Point, epic swimming spots like Coconut Well, and thrilling 4WD spots in the Dampier Peninsula.
3-4 days there is a sweet spot if you're in a 2WD.
But if you're in a 4WD, consider adding 2-3 days for exploring (and even camping out bush) at James Price Point or Dampier!
Good to know:
4WD opens up heaps of cool spots, but 2WD will still get you around town
The red dust gets into everything!
Best time to visit is May to Sept (dry season)
Avoid in wet season, lots of tropical storms so it's hot and the humidity is really uncomfortable
Bring your own gear if you want to camp off-grid
Check tide times, they can swing 9–10 metres and totally change the beaches
