This is a series of small, cascading rapids on the Lefroy Brook, just out of town. It's a really scenic spot and super easy to get to, as it's a short drive from town and also a stop in the Pemberton Tramway.

There's a short loop trail (about 1.2km) that runs along both sides of the brook (great to stretch your legs) and a nice picnic area.

Know before going:

  • Located in the Gloucester National Park (free entry, no pets allowed).

  • Be very careful on the rocks, as they can be wet and very slippery, especially in winter.

  • The flow is best after rain, but it's a nice spot to visit year-round.

  • There are toilets on site.

  • The area is also home to a population of lampreys. They’re completely harmless but you might see them in groups, climbing the slippery rocks with their sucking mouth. Yes, nature can be a bit gross sometimes.
