Short Beach has a reef that helps keep the swell down, making it ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and kayak sessions.

There’s no vehicle access, but it’s a short walk in.

What we liked:

• Gentle waves and shallow entry, good for kids

• Reef provides shelter and solid fishing conditions

• Great for kayaking and SUP on calmer days

• Gazebo for shade and decent toilet facilities
