This spot is pretty famous and it's 100% worth the stop. The rock formations are incredible, you feel like you're on Mars!

We recommend going there for the sunset as the lighting is best. The unsealed roads are well-kept too so it's 2WD-friendly as well, so don't worry about that.

If you're staying in Perth and are short on time, you can visit with a tour. There are stargazing tours in The Pinnacles like this one (incredible), that include pick-up and drop-off in the city plus sandboarding at Lancelin.

Know before going:

  • Entry fees to the National Park apply

  • 1-2 hours is plenty if you're not stargazing

  • Visitor centre has toilets and some shade
