There are several boardwalks to explore the canals, or you can climb over the rocks if you’re feeling adventurous.

Plus it’s free to visit and it’s a great stop just off the road between Yallingup and Margs.

Here’s a full guide with the best time to go to Canal Rocks, things to do nearby, and some tips from our visit

Why it's worth checking out:

  • Easy boardwalk access with incredible views

  • You can scramble over the rocks and watch the swell rush through

  • Spot whales when in season (June-August)

  • Public boat ramp nearby for fishing

Know before going:

  • Not safe for swimming, strong current and sharp rocks

  • Rocks are slippery when wet, wear good shoes

  • Toilets available
