If you're not claustrophobic, visiting this place is a must! Grab tickets to Jewel Cave here.

You'll head down on a guided tour through three huge chambers.

They're filled with some of the most incredible crystal formations we've ever seen and there are even fossils on the walls, it's incredible!

Why it's worth checking out:

  • Cave with fewest stairs in the area, with ~250 stairs. For comparison, Mammoth Cave has +500

  • The sheer size of the chambers is hard to wrap your head around

  • It has one of the longest "straw" stalactites in any tourist cave in the world

  • You can see the fossilised remains of a Tasmanian Tiger

Know before going:

  • You can only go in on a one-hour guided tour, so you need to book ahead

  • Last time we checked, tours run from 9:30 to 3:30

  • It’s always cool underground, so consider bringing a light jumper if you're chilly
