It’s one of the TOP things to do while visiting Perth (with over 3000 positive reviews on Google).

This place was way cooler than we expected! You can only enter with a tour, and they’re sooo well done.

You can take a guided tour during the day, or by torchlight at night and hear some spooky ghost stories! There's even a tour through the underground canals of the prison.

Good to know:

  • Open daily, 9am–5pm

  • General entry is by guided tour only, prices vary by tour

  • The basic "Convict Prison" or "Behind Bars" tours are a good starting point

  • Right in Freo, walking distance from markets, pubs, and cafes
