If you've ever wanted to bath in a geothermal pool at the end of the earth - this is probably as close you can get. Krossneslaug is a hidden gem in the remote northern part of the Westfjords. It's a geothermal pool with stunning ocean views and a chance to spot whales, dolphins & seabirds. It's a bit off the beaten path so enjoy the bumpy ride there and take it all in.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A remote geothermal pool by the ocean in the northern part of the Westfjords.

  • Best season: Summer (best time is approximately from the middle of May to the end of August). This part of the Westfjords tends to be inaccessible outside that time.

  • Nice to know: It costs around 5 USD/EUR and has changing rooms.
