What you’ll do

There's a lot to see and do on Skye and so we designed this action-packed four day itinerary to help you take in most of the must-see sights across this enchanting Isle.

A mix of epic landscapes, local haunts, whisky tours and some of our favourite places to stay in the world.

Day One on the Isle of Skye starts with a visit to Portree - spend a few hours wandering around this beautiful seaside town, with its coloured houses, lovely shops and great coffee spots.

Portree offers a lot of accomodation options and is a great central base to explore most of the sites on the island.

Once you've enjoyed a bit of Portree and fuelled up or a great walk - head to the Old Man of Storr. Parking is easily signposted (and contactless payment is accepted).

The walk takes around 3-4 hours if you are heading right to the top (and we'd advise you do) - the views are incredible and the photos you'll get will last a lifetime.

We've suggested a range of options for accommodation - each with different price points. Booking in advance is essential for most of these and we'd recommend staying in one place and exploring the island from there by car.
