Liffey Falls is a favourite of mine. Its a great destination for those new to hiking, and is only a short and easy walks to the falls. Liffey Falls are an hour from Launceston, the reserve features towering trees, cascading waterfalls and diverse wildlife. There are some impressive series of cascades along Liffey River, so enjoy the walk and take it all in.
Once at the site, you can wander through the rainforest in search of pink robins, green rosellas, and superb fairy wrens. If you visit at dusk, you might be lucky to spot a Tassie devil, bandicoot or wallaby who often come out at this time to feed. There are plenty of picnic and bbq sots along the way, and camping facilities on site you fancy staying there. So whether you’re after a relaxing day in nature or a more adventurous hike, Liffey Falls is a perfect spot to explore!
