This stunning beach along the Juan de Fuca Strait has a truly mystical vibe! Mystic Beach is not large but features features impressive cliffs and caves, as well as a natural waterfall. And, of course, the Pacific Ocean crashes right onto the rocks.

The 2km hike to the beach takes you through a lush forest and across a suspension bridge. It’s all downhill to the beach (which means an uphill return trip!), and you'll encounter some short muddy sections along the way. The trail can also be rooty in places, so expect to step up and down.

You’ll know you’re close when the sound of the ocean filters through the trees and wooden stairs start to appear. The hike usually takes about 45 minutes each way.

There is a backcountry campground at Mystic Beach - $10/per person/per night (pay cash at trailhead or online in advance)
