Most of us probably associate Denmark’s West Coast with a cozy summer house and that’s exactly why I’m so excited about Bilberghus - Beyond Bed & Breakfast. It’s a small, personal B&B tucked away in West Jutland, where you can gaze out over the calm fjord, and after just a short 10-15 minute walk, find yourself standing before the wild, untamed North Sea.
An extra heartwarming detail: Bilberghus has been lovingly created by the third generation of a family who, over the years, have welcomed guests to all kinds of holiday stays - always with a deep love for the West Coast and its beautiful nature. Today, it’s Linda and her family (and perhaps even her father) you’ll meet during your stay.

Bilberghus (Linda & family’s) best insider tips:
🐦 Visit the viewpoint by Vinterleje Harbour (just a 7-minute drive). Climb the tallest dune and take in the sweeping views over Ringkøbing Fjord, the charming little harbour, and Tipperne bird reserve.
👙🩳 For a truly wonderful swim, head to Hvide Sande South Beach.
🥐 We love Møllers Micro Bakery in Nørre Nebel.
🥾 Follow the yellow trail from Nymindegab Camping through Nyminde Plantation, and don’t miss Hattebjerg with its breathtaking views (about 7 km).
☔️ On a rainy day, visit Nymindegab Museum for art and culture (open April–November).
